TRIMMING
Show tenderness to your candles by gently trimming it's wicks to a cozy 1/4 inch, a simple pinch with tissue is enough. No need for fancy tools, just your caring touch. Trimming the wick prior to lighting will prevent any uneven flickering or smoking.
.
LOVE
On the first burn, let your candle illuminate your space with love and for as many hours as its width in inches (2 to 4 hours depending which coastal candle you are enjoying and diameter of the candle's surface). This ensures a harmonious, even glow and prevents the candle from feeling neglected and creating a wax tunnel.
.
CARE
When your candle's luminous glow dwindles to a mere 1/4 inch of wax within the vessel, it's time to bid adieu to its radiant light. And instead of mourning its departure, welcome the possibilities it brings. Place the vessel in your freezer, allowing the wax to cool and contract. As this transformation occurs, you'll discover that releasing the wax from the jar becomes effortless. With a gentle scrape to remove any lingering residue, cleanse the container with both pure intentions and a warm soapy bath. Now, open the door to your creativity, for this renewed vessel holds endless opportunities waiting to be explored.

REST
Just as you would watch over a beloved companion, never leave a burning candle unattended. When it comes to curious children or your furry friends, never leave them alone with a lit candle. Remember, the golden rule is to extinguish candles before bedtime.
Keep in mind that the flame is hot, so handle it with care. While the flame dances gracefully, resist the urge to touch or disturb your candle, allowing it to illuminate in its own tranquil rhythm.
.
RELAXATION
Create a peaceful space shielding your candle from drafts and open windows, as wind and flames share a delicate relationship. Maintain a tranquil environment around your candle. To ensure safety and avoid mishaps, position your vessel on a secure, flat surface, away from any flammable materials.
Final thoughts
1. If you have a candle snuffer, use it to extinguish your candle.
2. Never douse a candle with water; instead, allow it to cool naturally.
3. Wait patiently for your candle to cool before considering any movement, as if you were giving it time to rest and rejuvenate.
4. Remember that candles are sensitive to temperature and light. Store them in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight or intense light will prolong their lives.
5. Keep your candles between 50ºF and 85ºF, protecting them from extremes. Avoid leaving them in your car, especially on hot days, as they may melt. After a chilly exposure, allow them to return to room temperature for at least 2 hours before kindling their flame.
